To jump-start my summer plans of being a full-time writer, I have joined forces with other bloggers to complete a Page-a-Day Challenge. Initiated by Weronika Janczuk, the month-long challenge from May 15 to June 15 encourages writers to write a minimum of one page a day, a less intimidating goal than a daily word goal.
The idea is that if you write that much daily, then within a year, you'll have completed a novel. Of course, many writers will write more than one page a day because who truly can stop writing when they're on a roll? But at least they'll be writing every day.
Be sure to check out our progress here. Or you can follow on Twitter at #padc. My personal goal is to have completed the first draft of my WIP by mid-summer (July 15). Wish me luck!

Such a great idea! It sounds like NaNoWriMo but without the stress. I think this is an achievable goal. : )
This is a great idea! Is the page single spaced or double?
I'm doing the challenge too....good luck! I'm hoping this page a day will get me into a habit that will keep me writing long after the month is over! I'm looking forward to following everyone's progress!
Good luck! I love this idea! I seriously feel like once we get in the habit of writing, the words come SO much easier!
What a wonderful idea! I wish you the best of luck! I am in full agreement that you will write more than a page a day but that only means that you'll finish your novel that much sooner. I was able to finish my novel in 5 weeks so I almost made the cut!
Good for you! That sounds like a great idea to help keep the story going :) I'm so jealous of your summer plans too... I would love to write full time! Maybe someday :)
Great idea! I may have to jump on the bandwagon. I've never really set a daily writing goal for myself, but I think I'm going to have to if I want to finish my WIP by the end of June. A page a day definitely sounds doable.
