Revision Tip

At ... and this time, concentrate!, Summer introduced me to Wordle, a website where you can post an entire manuscript and it will visually display the words you use the most.

To better see my Wordle results for my WIP Again, click on the image below.

Wordle: WIP: Again

Wow, what an eye-opener!  I'm aware of some of my overused words, but others surprised me.  Now I can go through my manuscript and utilize the "search and edit" function to change these words.

Thanks Summer for this great revision idea!

Ooh, what a great idea! I've seen/heard of Wordle before, but never thought to use it for revisions. Definitely trying this out. Thank you! :]

Nice! I liked this on Summer's blog, and I clicked over to see yours. Good idea to use it as a revision tool. Yours look pretty neat though (it almost looks like "Owen" should be the title, hehe.) Thanks for sharing!

I should do this as well! Your MC's name should appear a lot, so that one's good! I, myself, need to take out all of my "looking" words like, "she looked, he looked..." It's a crutch for me.

Ha, ha. Owen is actually not the MC. He's the love interest of my MC, but since it's in first person, my MC's name doesn't appear as often. :)

It is a great idea and it is fun to play with!

I had fun puzzling through your cloud.
I liked the choice of Owen as the love interest - it isn't that common, which is good. :)

Wordle sounds like fun, and the end result image is really cool - like art. :-)

Hee! I did that today with my WIP. Wordle is great and I love the pretty little clouds it makes. :)

I'd heard of Wordle before, but I didn't know you could upload a manuscript! I will have to do that once I get to the revision stage. Thanks for the tip!
