First Page Blogfest - Part Two

I figure that while I'm exposing myself with my first manuscript, I might as well do it with my second one too (see previous post for more information).

Below is the first page of Over the Edge:

I already like Kennedy. :) And I want to know more about her. You have some great description here, but this line?

Unlike the sporty SUV she used to drive, it coughed twice before engaging into a steady roar.

I love the imagery of that line. :)

I want to read some more. :) You're a great writer and you've already hooked me with the first page. I think I'm now a fan of your blog. :)

When do I get to read the rest of the novel? You've spiked my interest... and that name Kennedy... where have I heard that before?!?!

I felt for Kennedy, she is struggling so. Did she take 13 tablets? Is a tragedy underway?

hi *waves* nice to meet you. I enjoyed both of your first pages. You have a nice easy flowing style that is easy to read and I would keep reading on both of them.

Oh, I'm hooked. Why the pills? Why is it her fault they had to move? Great opening! I'd turn the page for sure. THanks for participating!

Yes. I'm intrigued, too, but have many questions. Of course, this is just a first glimpse.

I want more. I want to know what is happening with Kennedy. There was some wonderful imagery here.

Thanks for finding my blog and leaving a comment. What a treat to follow it back here to your bloggy world.

I challenge you to make time to write 5 days/week, even if just for 20 minutes/day. Please keep in touch. I'll be happy to cheer you on. Pom-poms and all.

Happy Easter/Spring,
Lola

This is such an excellent piece. I can't wait to read more of it. And the title fits it so well!

I wonder, though, if Kennedy would check her bag for her schedule more than once.
